Dedicated Teachers

Bodhi Path Buddhist Centers were founded by the the 14th Shamarpa (Shamar Rinpoche), chief disciple of the 16th Karmapa and primary regent of the Karma Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Shamar Rinpoche in turn recognized the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje, who is the current lineage holder.

Our teachers are a mix of lay and monastic spiritual friends from around the world, who are either in residence at the centers or visit regularly. They have all received extensive training according to traditional Buddhist methods and are available to guide students in learning about Buddhism.
