The Bodhi Path Buddhist Center of the Washington DC Metro Area is part of an international network of Buddhist centers founded under the guidance of Shamar Rinpoche (read more about our founder and lineage holder).
Our group meets Sundays from 9:30 am-11:30 am at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville campus and attendance is in person or via Zoom. Our program is a combination of meditation and Dharma discussion or Dharma teachings led virtually or in-person during visiting teacher events.
Lamas and highly trained teachers from Asia and Europe also visit the Center periodically to give in depth teachings on classic Buddhist texts. All Center programs are open to all members of the public, no matter what the depth of their experience with Buddhism or meditation.
Please check our Center Events below to see our weekly schedule of in-person and Zoom teachings, special Zoom guest teachings, and Bodhi Path network-wide scheduled teachings. You may also contact us at dcmetro@bodhipath.org.
