The End of Suffering
A 5-Day Non-residential Retreat with Dawa Tarchin Phillips
November 6–10, 2025

In a world of endless striving and subtle dissatisfaction, the promise of the end of suffering feels both ancient and revolutionary. This 5-day retreat offers a rare opportunity to explore that timeless truth in a deeply experiential and contemporary way — guided by former Buddhist monk, neuroscientist, and transformational Dharma teacher Dawa Tarchin Phillips.

Rooted in the Buddha’s original insights yet illuminated by modern science, this retreat invites you into a direct experience of freedom — freedom from the habits of mind and heart that perpetuate stress, confusion, and self-contraction. Through meditation, inquiry, and guided dialogue, you’ll learn to recognize suffering at its subtle origins and discover practical pathways to awakening — pathways that not only bring genuine peace and clarity but activate the vast innate potential for wisdom, compassion, creativity, and resilience already within you.

Dawa Tarchin Phillips is the resident teacher of Bodhi Path Santa Barbara. Having completed two traditional three-year meditation retreats within the Vajrayana and Mahayana traditions, he is a masterful Dharma teacher, global spiritual leader, and internationally respected mindfulness and meditation expert.

Dawa will be teaching in person. All are welcome to attend this non-residential retreat at the Bodhi Path Center (La Cumbre Plaza, 3815 State Street Suite G129,) or online.

Partial scholarships are available on a first come basis. Please contact sb@bodhipath.org before October 15 with your interest, commitment, and financial need.
