Offering of Refuge and Bodhisattva Vows: Thursday, September 11 · 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM With Lama Jampa
We are honored to welcome Lama Jampa, who will guide the ceremonies for both the Refuge Vows and the Bodhisattva Vows. These vows are profound commitments on the Buddhist path:
- Taking Refuge marks the formal entry into the Buddha’s teachings, opening the heart to the Three Jewels — the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.
- The Bodhisattva Vow deepens this intention, aspiring to awaken for the benefit of all beings.
This is a rare and auspicious opportunity to either take vows for the first time or renew your existing Bodhisattva Vows. If you wish to take vows or renew your Bodhisattva Vow, please contact us in advance at SB@BodhiPath.org
We warmly invite all sangha members and friends to gather and celebrate this precious occasion together. Link Here

About the Center
The Santa Barbara Bodhi Path Buddhist Center offers a high quality curriculum of instruction in Buddhist meditation practice and philosophy. The Center was founded in 1997 at the direction of Shamar Rinpoche. Since then, hundreds of students have come to learn and practice in a modern, non-sectarian environment focused on authentic Buddhist teachings taught and practiced by authentic teachers. We are a diverse community of practitioners encompassing all ages and levels of practice. Dawa Tarchin Phillips is the resident teacher, and we regularly host visiting teachers.
