Maniwa Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche passed away on Thursday, September 4. Rinpoche was a great master of the Karma Kagyu lineage, renowned for his vast learning, his pure discipline, and above all his boundless compassion. A master of the Chenrezig mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, after having recited over a billion Mani mantras he was given the title “Maniwa.” As a close disciple of His Holiness the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa and a contemporary of Shamar Rinpoche, he dedicated his entire life to the Dharma and to the benefit of beings. With his profound knowledge and immeasurable kindness, he guided countless students across the world. His brief biography can be found on the Bodhi Path website.
Join us as we learn more about this precious teacher of the lineage, and how his life was, and will continue to be, inspirational to each of us on the spiritual Dharma path.
