Pamela Gayle White will lead a highly relevant talk and discussion on how to weave our bodhisattva aspirations into practice and our everyday lives in these contentious times. Pamela will draw on inspiring teachings from traditional and contemporary masters to help us maintain our resolve with an open heart.
Prior to the discussion, Pamela will lead a meditation session from 9am-9:45am, and break for 15 minutes before the talk begins at 10am and ends at 12pm.
Pamela White completed two three-year retreats under the guidance of Gendun Rinpoche, Dhagpo Kundreul Ling in Auvergne, France in the 1990’s. Pamela then began teaching Buddhist meditation and philosophy and was an active translator/interpreter for several Tibetan masters, notably Shamar Rinpoche (with whom she translated practice texts and commentaries), and Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche.
In recent years, Pamela trained as an interfaith health care chaplain in Pennsylvania and Virginia. She currently works as the spiritual counselor for hospice in central Virginia and teaches within the Bodhi Path network and greater community. Pamela also enjoys writing and is a contributing editor at Tricycle: The Buddhist Review.
