Karma Trinlay Rinpoche will provide an introduction to the practice of Pure Land.  The essence of the Pure Land practice consists of invoking the name of Amitabha Buddha, visualizing and contemplating Amitabha qualities, and taking vows to be born in the Pure Land.

The goal of the practice is to be reborn in Amitabha’s Pure Land in order to work towards enlightenment for the benefit of sentient beings.

Background on Karma Trinlay Rinpoche:

Karma Trinlay Rinpoche is a Buddhist master and scholar. Born of French and American parentage, Rinpoche
was one of the first Westerners to be recognized as a Tulku (reincarnation of a Buddhist saint) by H.H. the late
16th Karmapa.

Karma Trinlay Rinpoche has received all the important transmissions of Buddhism, as well as completed both
traditional Buddhist and Western academic studies in the fields of philosophy and history.
