In essence, our life experience enhances our spiritual path, and our spiritual path helps illuminate who we are and what we need for a richer, more meaningful life. Join us as Dharma Teacher Choepel illuminates the profound influence meditation practice can have in our daily lives.

Dharma Teacher Choepel was born and raised in Austria. Since 1994, he has been a student of the Mahamudra master, Lama Gendun Rinpoche. Choepel completed two 3-year meditation retreats in Kundröl Ling, France under the spiritual guidance of H.H. Shamar Rinpoche. Today, his activity includes translating classical Tibetan texts and teaching dharma throughout Europe and the United States. He is also currently preparing a meditation program for managers in collaboration with the University of Business and Economics in Vienna, Austria.
Date & times: Saturday-Sunday, April 5-6,
9:30 to 10:45 am, 11 am to 12:30 pm, 2:30 to 5:30pm.

The 5th Dilyag Sabchu Rinpoche
Recognized in infancy by HH Shamar Rinpoche, the 5th Dilyag Sabchu Rinpoche began rigorous spiritual training accorded important incarnate teachers at age five. At 17, Sabchu Rinpoche entered into the traditional three-year where he received all the oral transmissions and empowerments of the Karma Kagyu lineage under the guidance of Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche. Today, Sabchu Rinpoche serves as co-head of Sri Karma Raja Maha Vihar and teaches Buddhism throughout Asia and the US.

Lama Ole Nydahl, is a highly qualified Lama and meditation teacher in the Karma Kagyu Buddhist tradition. In 1969, Ole and his wife Hannah became the first Western students of H.H. the 16th Karmapa, completing three years of Buddhist philosophy studies and intensive meditation training under his guidance. A dynamic teacher, he has been traveling and teaching throughout the world for more than three decades. He is also a driving force in bringing Buddhism to the West. As one of the founders of Diamond Way Buddhism, he has helped to establish more than 450 Buddhist centers in 44 countries around the world.
Lama Ole’s depth of knowledge and dynamic teaching style has inspired thousands of people worldwide. Known for a modern, practical approach, his teachings provide a new understanding into the nature of mind as well as the world around us. Bodhi Path Virginia is delighted to bring Lama Ole to our area.

The first step in Buddhist meditation is Shamata, or Calm Abiding meditation. Through this practice one begins to relax and train the mind, gaining both tranquility and focus. Gradually meditation deepens and progresses through several stages leading to a greater understanding of mind and a more satisfying, joyful life.
Join us for a two-day mini practice/teaching retreat as we explore and deepen our understanding of Shamata meditation. Tondrup, a Buddhist teacher from France, who has accomplished two three-year meditation retreats, will practice with us and illuminate the progressive stages of meditation, from the initial technique of counting breaths to the later phase of resting the mind.

For those following the Bodhi Path curriculum, this special retreat with Lama Tsony is an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of the 35 Buddhas practice & Lojong
Dates: June 18 22
Time: 7 am to 8 pm. Program sessions are two hours long with a morning and afternoon tea break and a three hour break for lunch.
