Return to Former Sunday Schedule

Saturday mini-retreats to remain

This weekend, the center's membership decided to return to our former schedule for Sundays. This was because, after the departure of Shamar Rinpoche, we have no qualified teacher to give a live public talk as part of our regular program. Our previous plan had been to present audio or written teachings in the absence of a teacher. However, after some discussion, the group decided that this would not be a very compelling offering for either beginners or advanced students.

Accordingly, until the arrival of a new teacher, we have decided to return to our previous Sunday schedule. However, we will retain the Saturday mini-retreats. The first one, held Saturday July 3, was a success. Six practitioners attended for all or part of the day. Activities included two group pujas, lunch provided by Jigme and individual practice of silent shamatha, circumambulating the stupa, prostrations and Dorje Sempa recitations.

Please join us at the center over the coming months for our regular Sunday program or any of our other offerings that interest you.
