The centre in Brescia was founded in 1998 by Lama Luigi after the request of  Italian practitioners.  It is under the spiritual authority of H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje and H.H. Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche and with resident teacher Lama Luigi who did two three year retreats under the guidance of Lama Gendun Rinpoche.

The centre was inaugurated first by Ven. Jigme Rinpoche in 1999 and then By H.H. Karmapa in 2004. During H.H. Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche’s first visit in 2006, the centre agreed to join Rinpoche’s Bodhipath organisation.
